Windows 10

1. On the bottom right corner, click on the “wireless” symbol and select “Messiah Secure”.
2. Next, click on “Connect”.
3. Enter your Messiah Username (the part of your email address that precedes @messiah.edu) and your Messiah password.
4. Select “Connect” to accept the wireless certificate.
5. Finally, your computer is successfully connected to Messiah’s secure wireless network.

***Please note, when entering a new building on campus, you may need to select “Messiah Secure” again and click Connect as you did in Step 4. However, you will not need to re-enter your login credentials. Once you have done this in a particular building, your laptop should connect automatically the next time you go there.=

macOS

1. Click on the Wi-Fi icon on the menu at the top right of your Mac Desktop
2. If Wi-Fi is off, turn it on – the wireless network list will begin to populate
3. Select “Messiah Secure”.
4. Enter your Messiah Username and Password (similar to logging into FalconLink) and enable the “Remember this network” option
5. When you receive the security certificate alert, click “Always Allow“.
6. Your computer should now connect to the “Messiah Secure” wireless network.

Chromebook

1. On the bottom right of the screen, click on the Wireless Symbol, then click “No network”
2. Then, select “Messiah Secure”
3. In the Join Wi-Fi Network window, adjust and enter the following information then click Connect:
   • EAP method: Click on the drop-down menu and select “PEAP”
   • Server CA certificate: Select “Do not check”
   • Identity: Enter your Messiah username (Eg: ab1234)
   • Password: Enter your corresponding password
4. Your Chromebook is now connected to Messiah’s secure wireless network.

Android

1. Go to Settings
2. Click into Wi-Fi and ensure Wi-Fi is enabled.
3. Wait for all networks to display
4. Select “Messiah Secure”
5. On the next screen, adjust and enter the following information then click Connect:
   • EAP method: Tap on the drop-down menu and select “PEAP”
   • Phase 2 authentication: Tap on the drop-down menu and select “MSCHAPV2”
   • CA certificate: Select “Do not validate” or “Use system certificates”
   • Online Certificate Status: If present, select “Do not verify”
   • Newer Android phones may prompt for Domain: messiah.edu
   • Identity: Enter your Messiah username (Eg: ab1234)
   • Password: Enter your corresponding password
6. You have successfully connected your Android device to Messiah’s secure network

Apple (iOS)

1. Go to Settings
2. Click into Wi-Fi
3. Wait for all the network to display
4. Select “Messiah Secure”
5. Enter Username and Password (similar to logging into FalconLink)
6. Select Trust on the top right of the screen when aruba-master.messiah.edu certificate prompted
7. You have successfully connected your Apple device to Messiah’s secure network

The steps for configuring your iPhone are, essentially, the same.

Forget/Reset a previous wireless configuration on a Windows PC

(i.e. you changed your Messiah password and aren’t being prompted to update it),

1. On the bottom right corner, click on the “wireless” symbol to see available networks.
2. Right-click on “Messiah Secure” and then click “Forget“
3. Follow the steps above for re-establishing the connection.

Forget/Reset a previous wireless configuration on a Mac

“Messiah Secure” is the appropriate wireless connection to be used by all Messiah issued laptops (both Mac and Windows).  If you find your connection no longer works, you may recreate it for a fresh start.

To re-create your Wireless adapter settings so you can connect to “Messiah Secure”, click on wireless connectivity icon near the clock on the menu bar near the upper right corner of your Mac Desktop…

Select “Turn Wi-Fi Off” to disable your wireless adapter.

Further down the menu, select Open Network Preferences from the resulting drop-down menu that appears.

In the Network preferences pane, click on Wi-Fi in the left column and then click the “Advanced..” button

ESSENTIAL STEP:  Scroll through the list of Preferred Network entries, looking for any of the following (you may or may not have all).  If you find one, select it and then click the “-” (minus) symbol at the bottom of the list to remove the entry.

• MC-Secure
• MC-OPEN
• Messiah Secure

Once you have removed all Messiah wireless connection that may have been present, click “OK” to close the Network Wi-Fi window.  If prompted to Apply the changes, be sure to do so.
