Password: How Do I Change My Messiah Password?
If you need to change your existing Messiah University password or you cannot remember your current Messiah University password, use the Messiah University Password Portal.
Please note that it may take a minute or two for your new password to sync with Microsoft which is used to log into sites like Office 365, email, and Canvas. You should be able to log into sites through CAS (like FalconLink) immediately.
Once your password has been changed, there may be additional steps you need to take to make sure your devices remain connected and functioning properly.
Depending on your role, please follow the steps below to retain access:

On any devices (e.g. laptops, smartphones, tablets) that you have connected to the Messiah Secure wireless network, you will need to forget the Messiah Secure wireless network and connect again to be able to enter your new password. More detailed instructions can be found in our Wireless: Connecting to Messiah Secure article.
If you are signed into any Office 365 applications (e.g. OneDrive, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), you should be prompted to enter your new password.
If you have a MacBook and use Mobility Print, you may find that print requests stop with a “Hold for Authentication” error. Click the Retry circle icon and enter your Messiah username and new password when prompted to correct this. More detailed instructions can be found in our Printing: Mobility Print article.
If you have a Chromebook, you may be prompted by Google to sign out and back into your profile once your new password has synced with Google.
I am an Employee using a Messiah-issued Windows computer
After your password has been changed, you will need to restart your computer and sign in with your new password after the reboot. This will automatically reestablish your network connections (e.g. wireless, network drives) with your new password.
If you changed your password while you are off campus, you will continue to use your old password to sign into your computer. Once you are on campus, you will want to restart and sign in with your new password. If you will not be back on campus for a while or need to reestablish connection to your network drives, take the following steps:
- Connect with GlobalProtect VPN using your new password
- Press Windows Key + L on your keyboard to lock your computer
- Enter your new password to unlock your computer
If you are signed into any Office 365 applications (e.g. OneDrive, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), you should be prompted to enter your new password.
